Margaret Walker Clair is Deputy Director in the Division of Preservation & Access at NEH, where she has worked since 2018. Prior to that, she was the Assistant Curator at the Vanderbilt University Fine Arts Gallery. She holds degrees in history and art history from Princeton University and the University of Edinburgh, with a specialty in the arts in Great Britain during World War One.
